Welcome to the ProDaC work package 2 development page
This page will contain documents that are under development for the definition of a test suite for the work package two of the FP6 ProDaC EU project.
The aim of this work package is to provide test data to developers that are implementing software that import or export PSI-MS WG:
- mzML Status: version 1.1.0. Under review.
- mzData Status: Stable, version 1.05. Deprecated, to be replaced by mzML.
- analysisXML Status: 1.0 under review.
The prideXML format (v2.1) is currently somewhat supported here but is really not a prime target format of ProDaC.
Data
There are separate sections for documents for the standards on this site: mzML, mzData, and analysisXML. Furthermore, the project is expected to highlight difficulties that can arise for from different interpretations of the usage of the standards and feed the information back to the standards developers. Please contribute with data files and experience to us. Contact prodac@… to get editing privileges to these pages.
Files are stored in the source code repository so that versions can be tracked. All files are accessible by subversion:

We have compiled a list of sample files of the standards ProDaC is supporting.
Ontology/XML schema validator
There is a simple schema validator available for online testing of mzML/analysisXML/mzData files. Currently schema validation semantic validation is supported for the latest mzML draft. The other formats are XSD validated. Refer to the validator information page for more information on the validator.
