Would it be possible to check whether file is a directory in FileUtil??

  • As usual there is a nice Boost Library with all the functionality:

  • Should not FileUtil::exists be changed to use F_OK so it becomes similar to FileUtil::permissions?

I don't think this tiny functionality is enough to add a Boost requirement. Users are of course recommended to use Boost instead, but....
