There are a lot of code that has been deprecated for several years/BASE releases. It might be time to remove at least some of the code.

BASE 3.10 was released more than two years ago (January 2017). I think this may be a good time limit.

Removed things that was deprecated a long time ago and that are not so likely to be used by plug-ins or extensions.

Removed things that are more likely to be used in extensions. It is mainly API methods associated with accessing annotations and building queries with annotations. Most of the deprecated methods were related to the implementation of cloned annotations in #1941.
