First checkin of example extensions.

7This package contains a few simple variants of "Hello world" applications
8in the form of extensions to the BASE web client. When the package has
9been installed you should see four new menu items in the 'Extensions' menu.

18 1. Unpack the tar.gz file to a directory of your choice.
19 2. Copy the extension-examples.jar to your BASE extensions directory, WEB-INF/extensions.
20 3. Run the 'Extensions -> Manual scan' command if you have disabled automatic
21    installation. Otherwise, just wait a bit and the automatic installation will
22    find and install the new extensions.
23 4. If you are logged in, you may have to logout and then login again to see
24    the new menu items.

29To compile this package you also need:

33    NOTE! Compiling may work with Java 1.5 but this is not officially supported.

36Follow these instructions:

38 1. Copy the BASE2Core.jar and BASE2Webclient.jar from the BASE installation
39    directory (<basedir>/www/WEB-INF/lib/) to the ./lib/compile directory.

41 2. Type 'ant' to compile the code and put everything you need into
42    the ./dist directory.

44 3. Use 'ant package' to create a downloadable tar.gz package in the ./package
45    directory.
