Welcome to Proteios 1.x development site

The bugtracking system that we decided to use is called ​Trac. It allows any Proteios user to submit a bug report, or suggest a new functionality. Choose New Ticket and follow the instructions.

For source code version control we use ​subversion. Everyone is allowed anonymous checkout the project, but only developers can commit changes to the repository.

Proteios Software Environment (Proteios SE or ProSE, Proteios 2.x) has been released in November 2007. Please go to https://proteios.org for the latest stable release of Proteios SE. Proteios SE is a complete rewrite of version 1.x and it was decided that data migration from 1.x to 2.x will not be supported.

Download

The latest stable release of Proteios can be checked out from the subversion repository:

svn co http://lev.thep.lu.se/repository/proteios1/proteios/tags/release-1.1.5 proteios-1.1.5

This will create a sub-directory proteios-1.1.5 with all Proteios files needed to compile and run Proteios. To compile the software you need Java 2 Development Kit 5.0. To compile use Ant on the build.xml file

If you want to live on bleeding edge software, download the latest (maybe unstable) 1.x version through

svn checkout http://lev.thep.lu.se/repository/proteios1/proteios/trunk/ proteios1

This will create a sub-directory proteios1 with the latest Proteios 1.x files.

A pre-compiled Proteios 1.1.5 package can also be downloaded as a zip archive​. You'll also need Java 2 Runtime Environment 1.5.0, which can be downloaded from ​java.com
