svndigest has only one space. Should we conform to GCS?

I picked up this from the gnulib email list, and it turned out that the thread in which this popped up made the maintainer of GNU Maintainer to replace the two spaces with one space.

I cannot see that it is clearly stated that there should be two spaces. Of course the example shows two spaces but it may be a typo?
One or two ... you choose.
