#684 closed defect (fixed)

compiler icpc complains about -pedantic

Reported by: Peter Owned by: Peter
Priority: minor Milestone: yat 0.8
Component: build Version: trunk
Keywords: Cc:

Description

While testing yat with intel compiler

icpc (ICC) 12.0.2 20110112

I noticed that it complains about commandline -pedantic

icpc: commandline remark #10148: option '-pedantic' not supported

This is just a warning which means that when the commandline -pedantic is tested for in configure, the compilation works and the option is accepted. Yet it is annoying to see this warning for every compilation.

I'd like to turn off '-pedantic -Wall' in default configuration and only enforce it in conjunction with --enable-debug. Any objections?
